Aussies get smart with annual leave this Easter

  • Expedia reports 70% YOY increase in interest for Easter holidays

As the first extended public holiday of the year approaches, more than one in ten (14%) Australians are maximising the Easter and Anzac Day double-holiday-hit to take an extra-long break, according Expedia research released today. 

Those aged 25-34 years are the savviest, with 14% booking three days’ annual leave to get a 10-day break and a further 7% booking seven days’ leave to get a whole two weeks off. Read more

Expedia’s new Out There report reveals more than half (55%) of Australians behave more extrovertly when travelling, with one in five (22%) saying they feel stress-free on holiday and are really able to let their hair down. More women than men say holidays encourage them to open themselves to new experiences (57% vs 54%). Read more
