Breaking Campaign: Expedia Launches Out There, Starts Here
The world’s largest online travel company, Expedia, is helping Aussies fulfil their travel bucket lists in their brand new campaign: Out There, Starts Here.
The integrated campaign developed by DDB Sydney and Carat, across TV, cinema, digital and out of home features powerful images from around the world designed to inspire people to create their own travel adventure with Expedia.
The TVC will debut on Australian screens on Sunday, 28 April and will be complemented by out of home executions, digital across online, tablet and mobile and bespoke lift wraps in key business locations across Sydney and Melbourne. Read more
Expedia Australia and New Zealand appoints creative agency
Expedia Australia and New Zealand has today announced the appointment of its new creative agency, awarding the business to Sydney-based DDB.
Following a creative pitch, which took place over a two-month period, DDB was chosen from a shortlist of agencies, including incumbent BMF, to handle Expedia’s creative account in both Australia and New Zealand.

Expedia launches search for social media stars
Expedia, the world’s largest online travel company, has launched a search for the best budding bloggers in Australia and New Zealand, using a new Facebook app created by social media agency, We Are Social.
The search, which is now open will see bloggers from five genres (Lifestyle, Food, Music, Travel or Family/Parenting) encouraged to set up profiles on the new Expedia Blogger Search Facebook app.
Entrants are invited to set up profiles via the Facebook app and campaign for the most votes in their own category. The top five bloggers in each category will be chosen by a panel of expert judges, who will reward each winner with a trip of a lifetime and the chance to be an official Expedia blogger for 2013. Expedia launches Australia’s largest gamification project
Expedia has launched one of the largest gamification projects ever achieved in Australia and New Zealand with an online interactive game called, ‘Tag Me If You Can’ Expedia.com.au/tagme.
Expedia collaborated with creative agency BMF, DangerMouse Productions, Carat Sydney, We Are Social, and Cre8 Marketing & Entertainment to create the game, which sees Nathan Jolliffe (The Amazing Race & Celebrity Apprentice) travel to 15 secret destinations around the world.
