Expedia.com.au has swept the board, taking out the majority of categories for Canstar Blue’s inaugural Most Satisfied Customers award for online accommodation bookings.

Canstar Blue surveyed 2,500 Australian consumers across a range of categories to measure and track customer satisfaction. The survey compared Wotif.com.au, Webjet.com.au, Lastminute.com.au, Hotel.com.au and Expedia.com.au.

Nicolas Chu, Managing Director, Expedia Australia and New Zealand, said: “We are thrilled that Expedia has been recognised for its outstanding customer service.

“This recognition reflects our commitment to putting travellers first. We strive to offer our customers the best possible booking experience and we are pleased to see we are ticking the boxes for Aussie travellers.

Expedia topped the charts according to customers scoring five stars in the categories of:

  • Overall satisfaction
  • Pricing
  • No booking fees
  • Range of accommodation
  • Ease of use

“While we are thrilled with this award, we are not complacent. In this highly competitive market, we recognise that there are many more opportunities for Expedia to continue to offer the best customer experience and look forward to bringing those to the market,” said Mr Chu.
