Expedia.com.au to hand over the keys to its new Facebook page for one month

Calling all social media aficionados! Online travel company Expedia.com.au is giving Australians the chance to take over the reins of its brand new Facebook page for one month and will stand the chance to win $10,000.

From 4 February until 7 March, Expedia.com.au’s  Facebook page will be in the hands of three shortlisted applicants acting as interim administrators with one being selected as the winner. All they have to do to be in the running for $10,000 is to build Expedia.com.au’s online community by creating and posting the most engaging Expedia-relevant content on the company’s Facebook Wall.

Louise Crompton, Senior Manager, Marketing Expedia Australia and New Zealand says, it’s a great opportunity for any budding social media guru.

“By simply showing a passion for travel and having a flare for social media, you could find yourself $10,000 richer.”

The interim administrators must keep a log of their posts and will be judged on originality, creativity, prior experience and passion for travel. They will also receive bonus points for being popular, creative and for displaying an innate understanding of social media and Expedia.com.au.

Applicants must be:

  • Australian residents
  • Over 18 at the time of entry
  • Able to finish things (ahem)
