Thousands of options with over 30 cruise lines on offer
Expedia, the world’s largest online travel company, has added cruise product to its popular Australian website in response to consumer demand for ocean and river cruise holiday choices.
Expedia.com.au now offers thousands of cruises from over 30 cruise liners, including P&O, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Princess and Captain Cook. Destinations include worldwide hot spots such as Europe, Asia and Alaska, along with Aussie favourites like the South Pacific, which accounted for 36.4 per cent of the market in 2012.

Australians prefer home comforts according to Expedia
Aussies are increasingly choosing to travel in their own backyard, with Western Australia predicted to be the year’s most popular destination, according to Expedia.com.au.
New research conducted by the world’s largest online travel company shows that Perth is expected to draw the highest number of domestic travellers – particularly for short breaks – following on from strong traveller demand in 2012.
Hobart, the picturesque waterfront capital of Tasmania, and iconic wilderness destination Cradle Mountain are also anticipated to be popular tourist destinations in 2013, after travel demand (booked flights and hotels) grew over 85% during 2012. Read more
